ManageSoft Appoints Stephen Butler As CEO
Rapid Growth In Software Asset Management And Compliance Propels Expansion
April 2, 2007 Boston, MA, USA
ManageSoft, a leading provider of IT and Software Asset Management solutions that enable enterprises to easily and automatically deploy, secure, track and manage software and IT assets to ensure corporate compliance, is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen Butler as President and Chief Executive Officer.
Prior to joining ManageSoft, Butler spent more than a decade in CEO positions with global software companies, both public and private, including Carbon Design Systems and Segue Software. Under his leadership, enterprise software provider Segue Software introduced its Performance Management solutions, tripling revenues in three years and achieving sustained profitability.
"I am extremely positive about leading this rapidly growing company to the next level and beyond," says Butler. "I've been watching with interest the demand for emerging compliance solutions. Enterprises are struggling to manage their software assets as they seek to respond effectively to software audits, board-level demands for efficient IT asset management (ITAM), and to meet corporate governance mandates. ManageSoft, with its Software Asset Management (SAM) and compliance solutions, has quickly become the SAM market leader and is uniquely positioned to capture this burgeoning demand."
"We are very pleased to have Stephen leading the executive team," said Joseph Movizzo, Chairman of the ManageSoft Board of Directors. "His extensive experience at the helm of fast growth software companies will provide us with the leadership necessary to build upon the company's innovation and success as we rapidly expand."
